NRREC Trust Receives State Award for Excellence in Social Service

The Nakka Rama Rao Educational and Cultural Trust has been honored with the Andhra Pradesh State Award for Excellence in Social Service, recognizing its remarkable contributions to free education in the region. The award was presented at a grand ceremony held at the Ravindra Bharathi in Vijayawada.

The award committee specifically highlighted the trust's innovative approach to providing education in remote areas of Anantapur district, where access to quality education has traditionally been limited. The trust's network of 38 learning centres across Andhra Pradesh was cited as a model for other organizations to follow.

"This award belongs to every teacher, volunteer, and donor who has believed in our mission," said Dr. P. Nagaraju while accepting the honor. "It is a validation of Late Nakka Rama Rao's dream that education should be available to everyone, regardless of their economic background."

The trust has pledged to use the recognition as motivation to further expand its programmes, with plans to establish new learning centres in Kurnool and Kadapa districts in the coming year.

The trust was honored with a prestigious state-level award recognizing its outstanding contributions to free education in Andhra Pradesh.
