NRREC Trust Celebrates 2 Years of Free Education in Anantapur
The Nakka Rama Rao Educational and Cultural Trust (NRREC) recently celebrated its second anniversary of providing completely free education to underprivileged children in and around Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. What began as a humble initiative has now blossomed into a movement that reaches over 500 students across 38 locations.
Founded in the memory of Late Nakka Rama Rao, a retired college principal who devoted his post-retirement years to social service, the trust has stayed true to his vision of removing unnatural boundaries for students. The anniversary event was attended by local dignitaries, educators, and community leaders who praised the trust's dedication.
"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world," said Dr. P. Nagaraju, Trust Chairman, echoing the sentiments of the trust's founder. "We are committed to ensuring that no child in Anantapur is denied the opportunity to learn because of financial constraints."
The celebration featured cultural performances by the students, an exhibition of their academic projects, and a felicitation ceremony for teachers who have gone above and beyond in their service. Moving forward, the trust plans to expand its hostel facilities and introduce digital learning tools to enhance the educational experience.
