Children's Day Special — Stories of Hope from NRREC Trust Students
On this Children's Day, we share the inspiring stories of three students whose lives have been profoundly changed by the NRREC Trust's free education programmes in Anantapur.
Lakshmi, 14, from Rayadurg: Lakshmi's parents are daily wage labourers who could never afford school fees. Through the trust's support, she not only attends school but has become the topper in her class. "I want to become a doctor and serve my village," she says with determination.
Ravi, 12, from Dharmavaram: Ravi was working at a local tea stall when a trust volunteer noticed him and enrolled him in the programme. Today, he excels in mathematics and dreams of becoming an engineer. His employer at the tea stall now donates to the trust.
Padma, 16, from Penukonda: Padma was on the verge of being married off at 15 when the trust's awareness programme reached her village. Her parents were counselled about the importance of education, and today she is preparing for her board exams with full concentration.
These stories remind us that behind every statistic is a real child with real dreams. The NRREC Trust continues to be the bridge between aspiration and opportunity for hundreds of such children.
